Wedding In The Time Of COVID-19 : Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors have released guidelines that should be adhered when conducting Weddings and functions. The Covid-19 outbreak has forced everyone to stay home and maintain social distance. Most of Weddings have been called off or postponed due to the islandwide lockdown. We’re here for you through the ups and downs of planning your wedding during the coronavirus pandemic,

We’ve here list some advice on what to do now, and how to do it

1. The Future of Weddings

According to the Public Health Inspectors, group gatherings should be restricted to less than 100 persons or 40 percent of the size of the reception hall. If the reception hall is large no more than 100 people must be accommodated. The Ministry of Health said that it’s best to have as less guests as possible.

2. Social Distancing

Visitors shall maintain a minimum distance of 1m at all time

3. Taking Photos

Taking group photos are discouraged.

4. Checking

Recommended to check the temperature of all guests entering the reception hall/parlor
