Courses for after O/L students
If you are not planning to do A/L, the best option for you is to get yourself enrolled for courses offered at the Vocational Training Authorities (VTA). The courses offered at the VTA are NVQ certificates (National Vocational Qualification)
The NVQ Sri Lanka offers the chance to obtain global recognition for skills, abilities, and knowledge. From Level 1 to Level 7, there are seven levels of qualifications. A core set of entry-level skills are being recognized by the National Certificate for Level 1. The increasing levels of competencies are recognized by the National Certificate for Levels 2, 3, and 4. Awards for full national craftsmanship at Level 4. A National Diploma, Levels 5 and 6, recognizes the progression of competencies from technical level to management level. Level 7 is the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree. There are other non- NVQ courses as well.
